The boss mechanic is interesting, and I like that I had to figure it out, but even when I did, it really takes the full window of opportunity to down the shield, which makes it quite difficult. You might want to tune the difficulty down just a hair on that, especially considering there's no way someone's going to accidentally defeat the boss without learning the mechanic.
